CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) - There's plenty of parallels when comparing Florida's Will Muschamp and Miami's Al Golden.
They got hired by the Gators and the Hurricanes on the same weekend in December 2010. Both are in their early 40s, both played at big-time schools, both were defensive coordinators before getting chances to lead a program and both inherited tough jobs at marquee institutions. Some might say they even have similar appearances.
And now their teams are about to go head-to-head.
Muschamp and the 12th-ranked Gators visit Golden and the Hurricanes on Saturday, the 55th meeting between the programs and the first time either coach will be a true part of the rivalry. Both teams have high expectations, and a win this weekend could be a nice springboard into the thick of the schedule.
