GADSDEN COUNTY, Fl.a (WTXL) — Friday night is a big night for high school football in Gadsden County.
Corey Fuller is leading his Jags against his best friend, Deion Sanders as Prime's Trinity Christian Tigers are at Gadsden County Friday night.
Fuller said he's been trying to play Sanders and Trinity Christian since he was at Godby. He said there's been a lot of smack talk between the two, but all will be settled Friday night.
Fuller said Sanders has meant a lot to him over the past three decades and has been there for him in a lot of tough times. Despite the smack talk Friday night will be a lot of fun and Fuller said he's excited to bring this game to Gadsden County.
"It's a great time for us coming off the coronavirus layoff, our kids, it's big for our community, it's big for our school system," said Fuller. "He spoke to our kids today, that was big. It's a great opportunity for our football program."
"Since like the summer, since we found it they were on our schedule, we were happy about it," said Jayden Bodison, a Gadsden County senior. "It was a great experience. I've never seen a big coach like that. I'm happy to play against him tomorrow."
Friday's game kicks off at 6 p.m. at Gadsden County.
