TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - This weekend, two big bend high school football teams have a chance to win State titles in their own backyards. Florida High is about a ten minute drive from Gene Cox Stadium, the site of this year's Class 1A through 3A State title games in Florida. the Seminoles play for the 3A crown on Friday night. They're making their very first appearance in a State title game. They've worked hard to get here, winning back to back games on the road, and it's a moment they plan on taking full advantage of.

"Not a lot of people get it in their life," said head coach Jarrod Hickman. "There's been some great people that never get a chance to do this and so we want to make sure we enjoy it and just continue to keep playing the kind of football we have been playing. The atmosphere, the support that we'll have will be as good as we could ever ask for. We're excited, the kids are excited. They've earned it and that's what we're most excited about."

Florida High takes on Chaminade-Madonna Friday at 7:00. Madison County plays in Saturday's 1A title game, where they face Blountstown.
