TALLAHASSEE, Fl. (WTXL) - There are a handful of one loss teams as we enter week eight of the high school football season. Maclay is one of those teams. There's even fewer undefeated teams, and Lafayette is one of them.

These are two teams with a lot of similarities, and both are led by a seasoned senior quarterback - quarterback's that have played on Varsity since their freshmen seasons. Both Maclay head coach Lance Ramer and Lafayette's Mark Beach agree containing those quarterbacks is going to be a big key to deciding a winner in this game Friday night, also, who limits their own miscues.

Both teams are enjoying immense success this year, and neither is looking too far ahead. The task at hand is each other Friday night, and when facing a good opponent, that's all you can be focused on.

"Respect all, fear none," said Beach. "We're going to go up there, we've struggled a little bit against the pass and run at times this season, so we have a job to do."

"We're now under the notion that we hate to lose more than we love to win and we don't want to taste that again," added Ramer.

Friday's game is set for a 7:00 kickoff at Maclay.
