TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — It's week five of the high school football season and the number of undefeated teams is dwindling.

Two unbeaten teams in the Big Bend area face off Friday when Aucilla Christian hosts Munroe in this week's Friday Night Overtime Game of the Week.

Munroe and Aucilla Christian two teams taking the local high school football scene by storm. Both the Bobcats and the Warriors have yet to lose a game this season.

It's a contest best served undefeated and only one team will come out of Friday night's showdown still drinking from that chalice.

"I think we come into every game knowing we don't take any game different than any other game," said Brady Browning, an Aucilla Christian quarterback. "Every week of practice it's the same week and the same type of deal. You come in and work hard Monday through Thursday and it shows itself on Friday."

'If it ain't broke, don't fix it,' maybe the best way to describe how Aucilla Christian has jumped out to a 3-0 record to start their season.

It also correlates with the program's motto that sets the standard for how the Warriors prepare every week for the next challenge ahead.

"Our program's philosophy is built on Colossians 3:23, 'Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord,' not for man," said Colby Roberts, the head football coach at Aucilla Christian. "And then our goals and everything follow suit."

Their opponents on Friday however are off to an equally fast start to the season.

Munroe has lit up the scoreboards on track to their 4-0 start, a complete 180 from the 2019 Bobcat season.

Head coach Alex Lehky credits that to his added depth on the roster as well as the consistency they've built around the coaching staff. Come Friday that will all be put to the test.

"Four-and-oh doesn't mean anything," said Lehky. "When we get over there to Aucilla, they don't care. At the end of the day, we still have to line up and play good football and continue to build and get better each week."

We'll have live coverage from Aucilla Christian starting at 5 p.m. on Friday so be sure to tune in then and at 11:15 p.m. for week five of Friday Night Overtime, it's going to be a good one.
