Seven arrests made in South Georgia illegal gambling

Berrien County, Ga (WTXL) - In south Georgia today, police arrest seven people and seized nine properties in connection with an almost three-year long investigation involving illegal gambling.

The illegal gambling activity spread across four southern Georgia counties including Berrien, Clinch, Lowndes, and Lanier County.

There has been a total of 18 criminal warrants issued for individuals in connection with the case.

The seven individuals arrested are facing charges of Commercial Gambling, Conspiracy to Commit Commercial Gambling, Keeping a Gambling Place, Communication of Gambling Information and Solicitation of Another to Gamble.
