BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) -With over 40 landmarks, the Bainbridge Heritage walking tour provides a way for visitors to experience what makes this South Georgia town so unique.
The self guided tour allows residents to admire some of the most popular trends found in historic southern architecture, while you won't get to come inside of these homes rest assure that the homeowners are making sure everything is looking at its best always. Owner of the 'Caldwell Perry Hall' home, Celia Perry, says all of the homeowners work together to make the block lock cohesive, "I don't know how many opinions I got from the different homeowners on how dark I should the paint the house....I took paint samples down to another home just to make sure it wasn't the same."
Owner of the 'Hind Cooper House', Allyson Whittaker, says these structures are a labor of love, "It's really important as a downtown home to show others, especially on the walking tour, how much we love Bainbridge and how much we value these old homes and want to keep them up for generations to come."
