TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Rebound Tallahassee is helping you get back to work after the COVID-19 crisis.
One local business has dozens of employees and they're growing!
"I feel lucky to be in a position where we're able to give people much needed employment," said Ted Frazee.
Ted Frazee is the president of Redwire, an electronic security business that's been running for over 40 years, providing intrusion alarms, fire detection and video surveillance.
"I just feel incredibly grateful, blessed to be in an industry that's deemed essential," Frazee said.
While many businesses were forced to shut down or furlough workers during this pandemic, Redwire is looking to fill positions.
"We have seen a good bit of increased demand for services like access control, where you have the need to lock down buildings," said Frazee.
To meet demand, they're hiring more than technical and field positions.
"We even have an opening in our accounting department," Frazee said.
While Redwire continues to operate, they're also working to keep their employees safe.
"We've followed all the guidelines that have been suggested by the federal government and local officials," said Frazee.
Redwire is even letting employees work from home when possible.
If you land an interview with the company, be ready for an unusual process.
"We're not doing in-person interviews at this moment," Frazee said. "We are doing Zoom calls."
He says they serve clients across Florida and South Georgia.
