Class at Crawfordville Elementary School quarantined after student tests positive for COVID-19

CRAWFORDVILLE, Fla. (WTXL) — The Wakulla County School District confirms that a class at Crawfordville Elementary School has been quarantined after a student tested positive for the coronavirus.

Friday, the Wakulla Department of Health notified the school district that a child at Crawfordville Elementary School tested positive for COVID-19.

At the direction of the county health department, the district says two teachers and all students in that single classroom are being quarantined.

Now, health officials are contacting all parents of the students in the class and are providing instructions for the quarantine period.

This comes after three students in Wakulla County, one elementary and two high school, tested positive for the virus.
