A man upset with a Papa John's manager decided to take out his anger by breaking into the business multiple times, Athens police said Tuesday.

Christopher Lee Groce was arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree burglary on Friday, Athens Police Chief Floyd Johnson said.

Grove broke out the front door to the Papa John's Pizza on Highway 72 Jan. 10 and stole cash from the business, Johnson said. He also broke into the restaurant Jan. 13, but Johnson said nothing was taken.

Police found Groce and his girlfriend, April Rae Hobbs, at the Budget Inn on Highway 31. When taken in for questioning, Johnson said Groce admitted breaking into the Papa John's because he was upset that the manager fired him earlier this month.

Hobbs was arrested on one count of third-degree burglary. Johnson said she drove the vehicle during the first burglary.
