TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Police are searching for the suspect who brazenly walked into New Leaf Market Co-op and stole an 'Honest Tea' branded bike in broad daylight.

According to a Facebook post authored by New Leaf Market Co-op, the theft happened the morning of August 22.

They say a man walked into the store early that morning, cut the ropes that were securing the bike to the wall, and lifted the bike off its display. The man can then be seen on video quickly rolling the bike while no one was looking.

"Three employees followed after him, but as you can imagine a man on a bike is faster than anyone on foot," the post reads.

The company says the bike was being raffled off as part of a contest. They have reported the crime to Tallahassee Police and are asking everyone to share the video in hopes of recovering the bike.

"We're sorry this one individual ruined all the fun. Stealing from a small, local business hurts everyone," the company wrote. "Our employees are angry and upset that this happened."

"If anyone sees a black bike with the white text (ironically saying) "HONEST" on it, please call TPD's non-emergency line with your tip," the company wrote. If you have any information, you can call the Tallahassee Police Department at 850-891-4200 or Crime Stoppers at 850-574-TIPS.
