Passengers on Allegiant Airlines flights coming from Pittsburgh to Punta Gorda/ Fort Myers received full refunds on their trips on Saturday.
The refunds are part of Allegiant’s “$1 Million Summer” promotion, through which the company is giving away $1 million dollars of airfare by the end of the summer. As part of this promotion, all passengers on flight 1404 from Pittsburgh to Punta Gorda / Fort Myers, Florida received a refund for their round-trip airfare.*
According to the press release, Allegiant announced the “$1 Million Summer” promotion in March with plans to work closely with partners in the communities they serve to identify travelers in need of a vacation. Allegiant is confident the campaign will provide groups and individuals travel opportunities they may not otherwise be able to take.
Allegiant’s innovative business model has allowed it to grow from one plane and one route 16 years ago, to offering access to low-cost, nonstop travel over 100 communities nationwide, more than any other domestic low-cost carrier. Allegiant also offers discounts on vacation packages, including hotels, rental cars and attraction tickets, through its website Allegiant.com.
