TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — With the economic uncertainties from the coronavirus, we here at ABC 27 are shining a light on businesses that are doing their part to help out the community while keeping their business open.

Toy Nation says, "We're Open, Tallahassee!"

Kids are spending more time at home. In fact, all their time at home, so parents are juggling how to keep them entertained while also keeping them educated.

Toy Nation has a solution: They're offering STEM and science kits for kids of all ages.

Deborah Eyler opened the specialty toy store in Tallahassee five years ago.

She's had to compete with big box stores and the internet during those years, but now, she faces a whole different challenge with coronavirus. She's now posting videos of available products, online to follow social distancing and other recommended guidelines.

"Have Lysol spray and spraying down every day," said Eyler. "We have curbside service, so I can send you an electronic invoice, you can pay over the internet, I either wrap presents, if it's a present, and then give me a call and I'll bring it out to your car."

They're also offering some free activity items, while supplies last. You can check out Toy Nation on Facebook and Instagram.

ABC 27 has made it easy to submit your own business.

This is not just Tallahassee. South Georgia small businesses, we want to hear from you too!

Click on the We're Open, Tallahassee tab at the top of the ABC 27 website. Then, tell us your story by filling out the section to the right.
