TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — With the economic uncertainties from the Coronavirus, we here at ABC 27 are shining a light on businesses that are doing their part to help out the community while keeping their business open.

Perky Petz is a pet care service in Tallahassee and they're saying "We're Open Tallahassee!" They're also looking to help others who are open.

Perky Petz has been serving Leon County for five years with doggy daycare, in home visits, and boarding services in a home environment.

With the Coronavirus pandemic forcing many to work longer hours, Perky Petz is including a discount on their services for healthcare workers, as well as free home pick-up and drop-off.

It's just one of the ways Perky Petz is trying to help others and stay safe through this trying time.

"Even if you still have a job, it can be very stressful," said Alicia Armstrong, the owner of Perky Petz. "While we are still able to provide our services, why not add healthcare professionals that are working so hard right now to keep us healthy and safe? Why not go above and beyond for them, like they're going above and beyond for us right now?"

To keep everyone safe, drop-off and pick-up for dogs is provided curbside, and everything that comes inside with your dog is sanitized with a pet-safe disinfectant spray. You can find out more about Perky Petz on their website.
