TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — ABC 27 is here to help businesses in need with "We're Open Tallahassee" where we are partnering with local businesses in North Florida and South Georgia, to highlight the efforts they're making to keep the community safe, while staying in business.

Mandisa Ngozi Braiding Gallery says, "We're Open, Tallahassee!"

Valencia Jones and her sister Denise opened Mandisa Ngozi, Florida's first natural hair salon, 25 years ago. Since then, it has only grown in popularity.

They offer braiding and natural hair services, hair and skin products, wearable art and more.

While she had to cancel this year's 8th annual "Capital City Hair Expo", Jones says she's been overwhelmed by the love and support from her clients who've been leaving bigger tips.

"A lot of clients are stuck at home with kids or their significant other and just want to get away and experience some of normalcy they had prior to this virus," said Jones. "So at Mandisa Ngozi it's always been a healing environment and so we appreciate being able to continue to help to heal the community."

They're located at 1908 Miccosukee Road.

You can call them at (850) 561-0330, go to their website at mandisa-ngozi.com, or find them on Facebook.

We've made it easy for business owners to sign up.

Click on the We're open, Tallahassee tab at the top of the WTXL website. Then, tell us your story by filling out the section to the right.

It's our way of letting people know you are open for business, and how they can support you.
