MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — With the economic uncertainties from the Coronavirus, we here at ABC 27 are shining a light on businesses that are doing their part to help out the community while keeping their business open.
During our newscasts, we're highlighting local businesses that are still open, despite the coronavirus.
"We're Open Tallahassee" continues in Madison County, this time, highlighting a local restaurant that, despite the name, is sure to make you happy.
Grumpy's Diner opened less than two years ago, but with their classic American dishes, its already a town favorite .
While they've limited their staff and are no longer open for dine-in, they are providing customers with an 'out back' drive thru, using the back door.
Jessica Webb, Grump's Diner owner, and Amy Funk, a waitress at Grumpy's, both say, "we can run it right out to the car!"
Grumpy's Diner is offering delivery, curbside pickup and takeout.
They are open daily from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Grumpy's Diner also wants to make sure people on the front lines are fed, so they're offering a 10 percent discount to first responders and hospital workers.
