TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — With the economic uncertainties from the coronavirus, we here at ABC 27 are shining a light on businesses that are doing their part to help out the community while keeping their business open.

Georgio's Fine Food and Spirits opened in 1994 specializing in prime steaks and seafood and, after more than 25 years, the owners know how to change and adapt their business.

Since re-opening on July 7, they've taken additional safety precautions including stepping up their sanitation and cleaning, enforcing masks, doing health checks on employees, and limiting dining to 50 percent capacity.

They're also asking their employees to take precautions outside work.

Their daughter and Georgio's general manager, Leni Spears, says along with new health and sanitation procedures, they've increased their social media presence, and have created family pan takeout meals for 4.

"Now we are definitely keeping an eye on everything even more than we were before," said Spears. "Unfortunately it's really hard for us to know exactly what everybody is up to at all times, but we made it very clear for everyone to be very responsible when they're not at work and limit their social outings."

Georgio's is located on Apalachee Parkway and is open from 4:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday for dine-in or curbside takeout.
