TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — With the economic uncertainties from the coronavirus, we here at ABC 27 are shining a light on businesses that are doing their part to help out the community while keeping their business open.

A local horse ranch is offering lots of safe outdoor activities.

Marcia DeCamp started Crazy 8 Ranch 15 years ago and, over the years, she's rescued, trained, rehabbed, and re-homed over 70 horses.

DeCamp says horseback riding allows for social distancing, it's outdoors, and is a great way to stay active.

They're also taking employees' temperatures at the ranch daily and sanitizing equipment between uses.

"The only contact we have is helping people on and off their horses," said DeCamp. "After each session, we wipe down saddles and helmets."

They have one more week of summer camp next week, which includes riding twice a day, going out on trails, horse education and care, pen cleaning, and more.

It's open to all ages.

"Our last one was a great success," DeCamp said. "Everybody took their temperatures every morning before getting here and, again, the kids are kept distant, away from each other throughout the day. They are grooming their own horses and saddling their own horses and everything."

And for those looking for a safe stay-cation, they even offer camping on site.
