TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — With the economic uncertainties from the coronavirus, we here at ABC 27 are shining a light on businesses that are doing their part to help out the community while keeping their business open.
Metro Deli owner, Rob Bazemore says he's never seen anything quite like what's currently happening across the country.
So his staff decided to do something for other hospitality workers who may not be able to work during this pandemic.
"You know, we are a sandwich shop but were looking for a way to feed a lot of people, economically, and pasta has always been that," said Bazemore. "We decided, we're still open, and we're trying to help out the people who are not so fortunate. I know there's a lot of hospitality people out there, bars, and restaurants, that are closing down now."
Bazmore says his store normally only delivers downtown, but now they've started making deliveries for the entire city of Tallahassee.
There is a $40 minimum for the extended delivery service.
