TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) — Esposito Garden Center will resume its series of garden-themed workshops using remote technology June 13 at 1 p.m. with 'Build a Butterfly Garden for Dad.'

The workshop is geared towards children and will air through Facebook Live on Esposito’s Facebook page.

The workshop will be led by Audrey Post, also known as Ms. Grow-It-All®, a 15-year Florida Master Gardener, garden writer and lecturer who joined the Esposito staff in March.

“There’s something magical about watching butterflies, from observing as they lay their eggs to seeing the caterpillars munching milkweed leaves to watching the newly hatched butterfly emerge and take flight,” said Post. “The Esposito’s family is pleased to help children share the magic as they honor their fathers.”

For those who want to build their butterfly garden while they watch, a free kit containing all materials will be provided to the first 50 people who stop by the nursery Saturday morning.

The kits contain a gallon black plastic pot, soil, and a combination of both larval and nectar plants for butterflies. Educational materials about butterfly gardening will also be provided.
