WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. — According to Florida Highway Patrol, 27-year-old Keifer Brandon drove his car on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Mem Rd at about 2 a.m. this morning.

Troopers say he drove east bound when he failed to make a turn and ran off the road.

Brandon tried to gain control of his car when he over corrected and traveled across all lanes of the road.

He then hit a tree, causing the car to spin out of control.

Troopers say as the car spun, he hit a second tree then flipped over.

Brandon was pronounced dead at the scene

Troopers are not yet sure if alcohol was a related factor in the crash.

They do say he was not wearing his seat belt.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Mem Rd was shot down for about three hours due to the crash.
