JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. — According to authorities, on Friday night, a deputy with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office was patrolling highway 73 north when he noticed a driver speeding.

When the deputy initiated a traffic stop, 32-year-old driver, Tramel Holmes neglected to pull over.

Holmes turned northbound on highway 231 and traveled into the southbound lanes of traffic before crossing the median into the northbound lanes.

Upon crossing the median, the vehicle suffered damage to the front end and front passenger side area.

Down the road, the deputy was able to catch up with the driver when one of Holmes's tires came apart causing him to pull over.

The deputy searched Holmes's car when he found drugs.

Deputies say Holmes was taken into custody and charged with Reckless Driving, Fleeing/Attempt to Elude a Law Enforcement Officer, possession of Controlled Substance, Cocaine, and possession of marijuana.
