TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Civic leaders were able to hear first hand from Tallahassee's youth about the issues that matter to them most on Thursday.
Bethel AME church in Tallahassee was the host site of a community youth summit. Its called "Voices of our Youth: Survival and Security" and is sponsored by County Commissioner Bill Proctor.
During the summit, community leaders and area youth came together to talk about a number of issues including crime and how to navigate a positive path.
County Commissioner Bill Proctor says this summit is perfect timing for the community, "Truly this is timely, we are hoping to talk about money, the legal system, drugs, future, security safety, how to get from here to there."
