TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The new year the perfect time to begin thinking about a new career, and CareerSource Capital Region has some ways to help get you started.

In 2016, CareerSource Capital Region is launching a new series of Career Connections hiring fairs.
Instead of a general job fair, these events will be geared specifically toward certain professions.
They'll be held about every other month, each with a new focus.
Palmer says this is a great way to match employers who are hiring right now with people who have the skill sets to do the job.
She also recommends thinking of this event, and any other career fair, like a job interview. Have copies of your resumes ready, dress to impress and be prepared. CareerSource Capital Region offers services and seminars to help get you ready.
The first Career Connections hiring fair is for positions in IT, professional and financial services sectors.
That's scheduled for Wednesday, February 3 from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the TCC Workforce Development Building.
