WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Thursday, was day two of the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office Teen Driving Challenge.
Students were on a course set up by deputies and were able to try out driving on many different vehicles to give them a hands on experience.
"This is our way of giving to the community showing them how to maneuver their vehicles," said Deputy Steven Miller. "We got a lot of young drivers we got a lot of young drivers with not a lot of experience, but they're coming out here and we're trying to teach to be better at what they're already doing.
Deputies say this event is held year round and teaches the teenagers about the dangers of driving impaired and distracted.
