TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - Want to check out The Hunger Games and fulfill your hunger at the same time? Now you can in Leon County.
Library cards are no longer just for checking out books, but for growing vegetables.
The Leon County Public Library announced a new service available to cardholders that started January 24th.
At every library location, cardholders will be able to check out three packets of seeds each month. So, now you can read the Harry Potter series one more time and grow some eggplants or beans in the process.
The seeds will be sample-size packets of vegetable seeds selected by horticulturalists at the Leon County Extension Office.
