2-Year-Old Reported Missing after Tornados Hit Dougherty County

Dougherty County, Ga. (WTXL) - Communities across the southeast are still picking up pieces today.

CNN meteorologists, report at least 41-reported twisters ravaged the southern states over the weekend, killing 19-people and destroying several homes.

At least six people are believed to be missing in Georgia, including a 2-year-old who was caught in the tornado.

Members of the U.S. Civil Air Patrol along with civilians are looking for little Detrezz Green, hoping and praying he might still be alive in the woods.

The little boy was with other family members when the powerful tornado struck a wide swath in Dougherty County, Georgia on Sunday afternoon.

They hadn't evacuated their home next to the woods when the storm hit.

The damage is widespread and devastating.

An area mobile home park is among the most damaged. Despite the sadness and grief, search efforts continue.

At least six people are reported to still be missing in Georgia.
