ATLANTA (AP) - Police say are searching for suspect who shot a 77-year-old man during an attempted carjacking after he was leaving a party in southwest Atlanta.
Local new media report Atlanta police say the man was shot in a subdivision near the Camp Creek Shopping Center around 11 p.m. Saturday. The man was found with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Police say the man was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Police have not released the man's condition.
Police say the man was leaving a house party and walking with his wife to his car when they were approached by a young man with a gun. The wife was not harmed.
Investigators believe the suspect got away in a black sedan.
