SUWANNEE COUNTY, FL (WTXL) -- A 48-year-old man was killed Wednesday morning on I-10 around mile marker 271 heading westbound. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 4:40 a.m., Jeffrey N. Russell from Live Oak, FL., was involved in a two car collision were he was pronounced dead on the scene.
The other driver involved in the crash was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The report claims that Russell's vehicle was struck from behind and continued driving while connected to the other vehicle. The two vehicles then overturned onto the grass shoulder.
Russell was ejected from the car and was not wearing a seat belt.
