MADISON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A toddler is dead after a fire Wednesday night in Madison County.
Firefighters got the call at 9:55 p.m. and when they arrived at a mobile home on Campbell Sink Trail, Madison Fire Chief Bruce Jordan said it was well involved.
The Chief said that there were five people inside when the fire broke out. Four of them escaped but a 2-year-old child died.
Firefighters believe the incident was accidental but the State Fire Marshal was called in to investigate the cause.
No smoke detectors were found in the house.
