TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A World War II veteran and his son recently had a setback on their journey to meet every Governor, and eventually the President, but they say it won’t stop them.
Sidney and Paul Walton had met 12 of the 50 governors but had to stop the tour due to Paul getting Chrordoma, a rare form of cancer, and Sidney also hospitalized due to inflammation.
Both are on the road to recovery and plan to pick up where they left off together, exactly how they like it.
Both are hoping to return to the road next week. They are unsure yet where their next stop will be.
