TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - It's been one week since Hurricane Michael and some high school football teams are still in make-up mode for last week's games.
This Friday night, we're expecting a full slate and there should be a good one at Eagle Field on Friday.
North Florida Christian is hosting Jefferson County and it's our Friday Night Football Game of the Week.
Both teams didn't play last week, so both are chomping at the bit to suit up Friday night.
Both are also atop their regions when it comes to their respective classifications power rankings and one more similarity? Their last games? Both losses.
NFC's Steve Price notes the talent on Jefferson's squad, while Leroy Smith knows the winning tradition the Eagles boast year in and year out.
The lay-off is something both coaches are concerned about, but they're both more than ready for Friday night.
"We have some seniors on this team that have performed well and tend to do a nice job and I think they'll continue to do that and continue to motivate the team," said Price.
"We're learning how to play together. We're learning how to win. That's the main thing, learning how to do the little things so at the end of the game, you know, we can do the necessary things to help us to win," said Smith.
Kick-off is at 7:30 p.m. at NFC and be sure to join Kyle Logan live at 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Friday as he previews the big game and stay tuned after as Kyle will have a complete game wrap-up.
