VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - There's no shortage of success at Valwood in Valdosta. The Valiants won their second State title in three seasons last fall. Now, they'll look for another, but this time with a new head coach.

Saturday in Valdosta, In the Game Magazine hosted their ITG Next Media Day, and close to a dozen South Georgia schools showed up to talk football.

Valwood was one of those schools, and Justin Henderson was the guy taking questions today as the Valiants new head football coach.

He inherits a good team. They lost a lot of talented kids, but several skill guys are back, and Henderson and the team say they are ready to embrace the upcoming season.

"The big picture you're talking about State Championships and all that, but we're just taking it one game at a time," he said. "We want to win the first one, and then I want to win the next one and the next one and the next one. There's always pressure. It's south Georgia, you have a ton of good programs around here. If you don't keep up with your neighborhood schools,m the three in this area and then in the surrounding counties, they're all winners."

Valwood opens the regular season at Bowdon High School August 17.
