(WTXL) - Last season didn't hold true to Brookwood football standards. The Warriors 3-5, missing the postseason.
This year they're looking to get back to their winning ways. Let's talk Warrior football for Monday night's Friday Night Football Camp Chat.
Lot of returners from last year. Young squad quarterback Joe Parker, who threw for over 1,500 yards last season, is back as well as Brookwood's leading rusher and receiver.
Brookwood actually kicked off their season last week with a scrimmage, losing, but it's something that head coach Shane Boggs took a lot away from.
This group is now fine tuning the little things but their biggest push? Just remembering last season.
"It's one thing to show up in the weight room, it's another when they're saying coach, can we meet, can we watch film, can we do this, can we do that?" said Boggs. "There have been times in the past where you try to organize all these things and you look around and you're flying solo. They went to work literally the Monday after we lost that final game and they've had a great run from that Monday all the way to last Friday night and that scrimmage."
Brookwood returns to the field this Friday night when they travel to Westwood.
