LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — We are just over a week away from the start of hurricane season. So let us say it 100 more times, now is the time to get ready.

One of the easiest ways to get started is getting your hurricane bucket together.

While it might seem like a task, it's really easy to do.

Wednesday on WTXL Sunrise, First Alert Meteorologist Alex Cordero, showed us what all should go in your bucket.

For those of you who still need to get your buckets together, Leon County wants to help.

Right now you can get free storm buckets at Ace Hardware and Home Depot locations across the county. You do have to buy at least 25 dollars worth of hurricane supplies.

The buckets are the size of the one Alex started filling Wednesday morning.
