BOSTON, GA (WTXL) - For seven artists from Boston, they turned a hobby into a successful business, and their name shows it.

The love of art for these seven created "The Accidental Art Gallery."

Sandy Shaw, owner of the gallery, wanted to use her talents to not only inspire the community of Boston, but to also capture it's history using black and white photography, woods and acrylics, color photography, and pastel and water color, while encouraging others to do the same. She says, "When I had a chance to answer requests for art teaching, I thought, I don't know if I can do that, but apparently I can."

Tourists from all over stop to the gallery, purchasing the fine work of the town and even some personal art, including paintings that fit the name of the business. They were done by accident.

Dessie Brown has contributed some of her work to the gallery: "It's just wonderful to see that you can actually do something that you can hang in your own home and not be ashamed of it."

Shaw says she and the seven artists will continue using their art to preserve the essence of Georgia.
