CAIRO (AP) — Egypt's Health Ministry says one person has been shot to death in clashes between police and protesters in Cairo.
Mohammed Hussein Qurni, 23, died after being shot in the chest and forehead Friday, ministry spokesman Ahmed Omar said, according to the state news agency.
Omar said 53 people were injured in demonstrations that took place in seven locations around the country.
Around 60 people have been killed the past week in nationwide political violence engulfing Egypt.
