(WTXL) - Arming school employees, expanding background checks and revamping the Baker Act Aaw to keep guns from people experiencing mental-health issues were among measures law-enforcement leaders from across the state discussed Tuesday as they looked for ways to prevent future school massacres
The officers also spoke of gaping loopholes in the Baker Act that say law enforcement can not take guns away from people who make threats of violence and a person released from a mental health facility can purchase firearms.
