TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)--Women aviators at the Tallahassee Regional Airport are hoping to get others interested in flying.

We took to the skies with Faith Drewry. Take a look at the views over the capitol and downtown Tallahassee. Drewry says flying an airplane builds self confidence. She encourages other women to consider becoming a pilot as a career or just as a passion.

"You really get a perspective on your problems," said Drewry. "Nothing is a problem when you're 1,500 feet above the ground looking down just enjoying the peace and the solitude nowhere else but in the air."

Saturday's event "Women Flying it Forward" also celebrates the first woman who received her pilot's license 103 years ago.
