LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A woman suffered serious injuries after driving off the roadway and flipping multiple times in a car accident in Leon County.
Verndalon Johnson, 45, of Camilla, Ga. was taken to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 6:20 p.m. Friday on I-10 WB near mile marker 208.
FHP said Johnson was driving on I-10, when for an unknown reason, she drove off the roadway. That caused her to over-correct, which made her car flip three times before hitting a guardrail.
Johnson is being charged with failure to maintain a single lane.
FHP stated Johnson was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol did not play a factor in the accident.
