VALDOSTA. Ga. (WTXL)--A woman is shot in Valdosta on Charlton Street.
Police say Tuesday at 12:50 a.m. they found Jessica Godfrey with a gunshot wound to her left wrist. Godfrey told them she was in a fight with Shanavier Walker. Police say at one point, Walker pulled out a handgun.
One of the witnesses who saw it all, took the gun from Walker and she ran away.
Officers say they found Walker at a home near where the incident took place. She was taken into custody.
Walker is at the Lowndes County Jail. Police are planning to charge her with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during commission of a crime.
