LOUISVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say a woman has died in a fire near the east Georgia town of Louisville.

Officials say the blaze at a mobile home on John Davis Road in Jefferson County was reported by a neighbor shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday.

Glenn Allen, a spokesman for the state fire commissioner, said Frances Warthen was found near the front door of the home. Allen said she had been home alone at the time of the fire.

Authorities said the fire's cause was under investigation Monday, and that an autopsy on Warthen's body was planned.

Louisville is about 45 miles southwest of Augusta.
