Woman found guilty of DUI manslaughter

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- A woman accused of killing a former Lincoln High School football player in April 2012 has been found guilty of manslaughter.

24-year-old Rebecca Padowitz was driving the car that killed 28-year-old Rona Hawkins on April 17, 2012. Troopers said the SUV spun out of control, flipped over and struck a tree. It then caught fire.

Hawkins was thrown from the vehicle and killed. Padowitz was believed to be under the influence. She could face a maximum of 15 years.
