JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Troopers say that heavy smoke and heavy fog caused a woman to crash into the side of a house in Jackson County.
The Florida Highway Patrol said that around 5:45 a.m. on Wednesday, a woman was driving south on Salem Church Road.
While she was traveling, troopers said there was heavy smoke from a prescribed burn and heavy fog, causing the driver to be unable to see the road. They said the woman drove her car off the road and into a nearby carport support post and the car underneath it.
Troopers said that the woman's car then careened into the side of the house the carport was attached to, finally coming to a stop.
No one was injured.
FHP also says that no one was in the other car at the time of the crash. No charges are pending in the incident.
