BONIFAY, Fla. (AP) — A Florida Panhandle woman is accused of filing 28 false reports of child abuse.

Bonifay police say 38-year-old Jessica Combee was arrested Tuesday following an investigation into the unfounded claims. She told investigators she filed the reports against two families "to create havoc."

Police Chief Chris Wells told the News Herald of Panama City (http://bit.ly/1zZc9pD ) it's an example of how people use the system to carry out their own agendas against someone they felt wronged them.

Police worked with the Department of Children and Families to investigate. The agency provided police with information that eventually led to subpoenas for records from two Internet providers. That led them to Combee.

Records don't indicate whether she's hired an attorney. Each of the 28 counts she's charged with is a third-degree felony.
