TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A woman has been arrested in connection to a stabbing on Holton Street Wednesday night.

The Tallahassee Police Department says Natasha Hawkins, 40, was arrested on Wednesday.

According to an arrest document, the stabbing happened at 2500 Holton Street at approximately 7:03 p.m. Wednesday night.

When officers arrived, they found a victim laying on the ground, bleeding from her neck area. Officers and emergency personnel provided immediate medical attention to the victim.

The victim was later hospitalized and taken into surgery after medical experts noted that she had been stabbed in two critical locations.

Police say that the incident started with an argument involving multiple people who all knew each other. The argument quickly turned violent, leading to the stabbing.

After an investigation, police determined that Hawkins stabbed the victim and charged her with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. She is currently in the Leon County Detention Facility.

Investigators are continuing to follow up on this case and further charges are pending. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call (850) 891-4200 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 574-TIPS.
