TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)  - A Tallahassee woman has been arrested and her twin is wanted after deputies found out the two were smuggling drugs into Leon County Jail.

According to a probable cause document, Leon County jail staff intercepted a greeting card meant for Terrica Ezell from her twin sister Erica back in February 2016.

Apparently, the card had been altered and contained two Buprenorphine sublingual film strips.

After this, deputies began to listen in on Terrica's phone calls to her sister. In conversations on different dates, the two discussed Erica mailing "pictures of the kids" to Terrica.

Deputies said that in a call on February 9, 2017, the two talked about Erica leaving a package near the recycling bin at the Leon County Sheriff's Office for Terrica to collect. Calls after that indicate that Terrica found and collected the said packages.

On February 12th, the sisters discussed another package drop off for Valentine's Day. Later they decided to change the drop-off date to the 15th. On that day, Terrica and Erica spoke again but Erica told her sister that she had gotten scared and didn't leave the package.

A deputy who had been listening in to the sister's conversations for a while stated that he had checked around the bin on the 15th, and had found nothing out of the ordinary.

The next day, the deputy returned to the Sheriff's Office around 4 a.m. and found a small plastic bag lying just underneath the edge of the recycling bin.

Inside, were 15 yellow pills, identified as 0.5 mg Clonazepam, and one white pill, identified as 8mg Buprenorphine Hydrochloride.

The probable cause document said that deputy removed the pills and replaced them with M&M's candy, then put the package back where he found it.

Around 9:30 a.m, Terrica and two other inmates came looking for the package. She was arrested on the spot.

In an interview, Terrica admitted to speaking to Erica about delivering the drugs to that location. She also confessed to receiving other medication via her sister as well.

Terrica is being charged with smuggling contraband to introduce into a detention facility. Her sister, Erica Ezell, is wanted on 3 outstanding warrants for smuggling contraband into a detention facility.
