TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - A Tallahassee woman who said she was robbed by a "skinny, tall and lanky" black man was arrested for filing a false report to law enforcement concerning the commission of a crime, armed robbery.
Alden Michelle Barnhill, 27, provided officers a sworn affidavit saying that the man placed what she believed to be a handgun against the lower side of her back and robbed her of two debit cards and ten dollars in cash before running away.
Barnhill said the armed robbery occurred at the Star Metro bus station on Sept. 30, 2017, according to a signed complaint. But film from two video cameras at the station revealed that no one approached her during the time she claimed to be there.
She missed a scheduled interview with an investigator.
