GADSDEN CO., Fla. (WTXL) - A concrete transmission pole is down on Highway 90, South of I-10. Power outages in the area are widespread.
According to the Gadsden County Sheriffs Office, the transmission pole was struck by a dump-truck that crossed over the median into the eastbound lane and struck the pole.
Emergency service are working on moving the pole from the roadway.
Talquin Electric Cooperative is working on backtracking electricity in the affected area. According to their website over 3,000 customers are affected.
Both westbound lanes of traffic are flowing and traffic heading eastbound is being diverted.
