Washington, D.C. (WTXL) --  The White House announced new measures to deal with sexual assault on college campuses, an issue that has been growing in recent years.

Recommendations from a group of federal officials lead by Vice President Joe Biden include publicizing enforcement data, issuing guidelines about confidentiality and surveying students on their experiences with sexual assault.

They say that one in five women is sexually assaulted while in college- typically within her first two years and usually by someone she knows.

The Obama Administration says it's committed to ending that violence.

They plan to launch a website called NotAlone.gov that will make each school's enforcement data public and will publish student rights and resources.
